Biography
Shannon Lee is a counseling intern completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Aquinas College. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Religious Studies from Manchester University. For the past seven years, Shannon has supported adolescents and adults in community metal health and residential setting, working with concerns including anxiety, mood disorders, anger, substance use, complex trauma, life transitions, neurodivergence, and LGBTQ+ issues. Everyone is welcome here!
Drawing from neuroscience and nervous system education, Shannon helps clients better understand their patterns, responses, and experiences so they can move beyond cycles of stuckness and create lasting change. She encourages curiosity, self-compassion, and deeper awareness of the inner world as part of the healing journey.
Shannon’s approach is collaborative and relationship-centered. She believes the therapeutic relationship can help clients reconnect with their own inner wisdom while feeling supported throughout the healing process. She focuses on strengths and empowering clients to love authentically with their values and purpose. Her work is grounded in a holistic, trauma-informed perspective that honors the connection between mind, body, and spirit, and may include somatic and spiritually integrated practices when aligned with a client’s needs and values. When appropriate, she may incorporate feminist, nature-based and parts work approaches into therapy in addition to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy approaches.
Shannon believes healing happens when all aspects of health are integrated and the darkest parts of you are welcomed into the light. She is passionate about helping clients heal from trauma, navigate life’s challenges, deepen self-understanding, and build a more connected, grounded, and fulfilling life.
