Porchlight Awards Night & Holiday Open House

Our Heritage Hill home will be open for you to take a self- guided tour, enjoy live music & light hours d’oeuvres. This is a free, open house style event that is open to the public.

• 6:15 pm – 2025 Awards Presentation

Lauren Raap has been selected as the 2025 recipient of out Porchlight Award. Lauren works in the public schools with students who struggle with emotional impairments. Her dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment to those students has made a profound impact in the Greater Grand Rapids community. We are proud to present her with this year’s award.

We’re also presenting out Friends & Champion Award to Zach VanBaren of  Calvin University and their StreetFest program. StreetFest, held each year during new student orientation, connects students, faculty, and staff with over 50 community organizations and churches in Grand Rapids for a day of service and learning. For the past 11 years, Calvin students have supported us through projects like landscaping, house cleanup and more. Zach’s personal journey with StreetFest is especially meaningful. from his first experience as a participant during orientation week at Calvin, to serving as a two-time Orientation Leader, he has not only embraced the program but also inspired others to do the same. His leadership and passion for service has made a lasting difference.
