The Fountain Hill Center Invites You to Our Porchlight and Champion Awards Night

We will be presenting our Porchlight Award to Andrea Inostroza-Castro MS, ATR, LLPC for her outstanding contributions to community mental health and wellness. Andrea is with Arbor Circle & is the Founder / Executive Coordinator of Puertas Abiertas.

Born in Concepcion, Chile, Andrea moved to the United States in December 2002 with her three children, facing the challenges of adapting to a new language and culture. After relocation to Michigan, she pursued further education at the University of Phoenix, earning a Master’s in Psychology. Andrea later obtained a Master’s in Art Therapy and Counseling from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. She has achieved many certifications throughout her career, including EMDR and Nurturing Parenting.

In additions to her work in mental health, Andrea became a professional artist with Fine Art America on July 17, 2010. In 2023, she received several accolades, including the award for Most Influential Latino in West Michigan and recognition as an Athena Finalist. Furthermore, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce honored her Nonprofit of the Year. Andrea currently lives with her two-year-old Goldendoodle, Bruno.

We will be presenting our Champion Award to Filip Zadro from Code for Good West Michigan for his outstanding contributions of time, energy and effort in the redesign of our website. His work has allowed us to significantly improve our ability to pursue our mission.

Filip is a designer and programmer who has called Grand Rapids home for over a decade. He co-owns a web-development company with his brother, Karlo, building unique human-centered solutions for national and global brands. He’s known for his sense of humor, fabulous hair, and passion for all things creative. He likes to give back to the community by donating professional expertise and design services through a local organization, Code for Good West Michigan, and has made a name for himself in the local design community by always being energetic, creative, and open to collaboration. Away from work, he enjoys attempting to complete his long list of DIY projects around the house, perfecting his at-home barista skills, and working on making any basic shape in pottery class.
