Biography
Sara Cooley is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional specializing in adolescents and adults struggling with life’s challenges. Sara has valuable experience in an inpatient hospital setting, child advocacy centers, outpatient individual therapy and group therapy for both adolescents and adults. Sara specializes in those seeking to improve relationships with others or self, communication, various traumas, depression, anxiety, self harm/suicidal ideation, boundaries, stress, life transitions, and mood dysregulation. She emphasizes therapy as a collaborative partnership between the client and therapist. She takes a person-centered approach to the therapy process to make it beneficial and unique for each individual. Her goal is to empower her clients and help them improve their mental health and wellness. Sara offers a safe, non-judgmental, place to explore various parts of your ever-changing life and want to collaborate with you on how you want to shape your therapy experience.
Sara earned her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Western Michigan University. She continues to engage in additional yearly trainings to further expand her ability to help each individual.
