Kimberly Howell is a clinical social worker with more than 15 years of experience in the social work profession. Her motivation to enter the field stems from her deep commitment to assisting individuals in exploring their personal journeys. Kimberly believes that each person is the architect of their own life, and that meaningful change is possible for those who are committed to putting in the effort.

She has a strong passion for collaborating with diverse range of clients, which includes survivors of domestic violence, families engaged in special needs adoptions, students in educational settings, individuals dealing with mental health issues, those on the autism spectrum, refugees, and the homeless. Her profound empathy and compassion for these diverse groups have made her work with children and adolescents especially rewarding.

In Kimberly’s therapeutic practice, she utilizes various techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strength-based methods, person-centered therapy, and motivational interviewing. She aims to empower her clients by guiding them to understand that they have the ability to change their lives through the choices they make.

Kimberly has earned her Bachelor of Art from Western Michigan University in Communication Studies. She went on to earn her Master of Social Work at Grand Valley State, focusing on school social work. Kimberly is passionate about working with her clients to identify their needs and help them develop personal Strategies to alleviate daily stress. She lives by the motto “life is not a destination but a journey” and hopes to inspire her clients to see their greatest potential and embrace the philosophy of their own lives.
