Terri graduated from West Virginia University at Parkersburg in 1992, with a degree in Business Administration with specialization in Accounting. She started her business career as an Office Manager and Project Estimator at Tassen Construction Company in Huntington, WV. She later started her own successful regional business, a title research company, which employed over 40 people for 14 years. After realizing her passion lay in helping friends and neighbors in a more significant way, she moved to Grand Rapids and began pursuing a BA in psychology at Grand Valley State University. At GVSU, she became involved in various nonprofit organizations, including the Women’s Resource Center, where she eventually became the Development Manager. After four years working in development, she decided to transition back into a role that would allow her to combine her skills in accounting and psychology. She joined The Fountain Hill Center in 2016 as the Center’s Bookkeeper. She has transitioned into the Center’s Finance Manager and Advancement Coordinator.

Terri seeks funding and grants for the programs at the Center. She also provides financial oversight, in conjunction with the Board Treasurer and Executive Coordinator, and conducts insurance evaluations and audits. Terri assists with the budget, billing and expenses of the Center. She enjoys working with many different members of the community and being part of a place where everyone feels welcome and safe.
