Support Staff Can Help You Take Your First Step

The Fountain Hill Center support staff understands that sometimes taking that first step to call and set up an counseling appointment can be uncomfortable.  We are here to make sure that process is smooth and to help you find the therapist best suited to your needs.

Oftentimes, when you call the office for the first time you just don’t know quite what to expect. I sometimes hear folks say, “This is my first time doing this, I’m not sure what to do,” or “I’m not sure what to ask”. That’s where we come in.

Support staff will help you take the first step.

In order to find a counselor who is the best fit for your needs, we’ll ask you a few simple questions:

What brings you to our office? We don’t need to know specifics, but a general idea of what brings you to us will allow us to match your circumstances with the appropriate therapist.

Do you have insurance you want to use? Some of our staff bill insurance and some don’t.

Is there a day or time of day you need to schedule? We want to be sure you get the therapy you need in a timely manner. So, we’re going to fit you into the next available appointment.

Once we have this information we’ll get you scheduled for your first appointment. We always hope to get clients in within a week or two. There are times that we can’t do this such as: if you’re looking for a very specific time, a therapist has a vacation scheduled, or you’d like to see someone whose schedule is exceptionally full.

If you are interested in scheduling an appointment you can call the office directly at 616-456-1178. You can speak with any of the support staff who answer the phone as we do our best to answer all calls that come in. Should you get the voicemail, please leave a message and I’ll get back with you as soon as I can.

If it’s more convenient or more comfortable, you can also e-mail me at contact@fountainhillcenter.com. I will try to answer any of your questions via e-mail prior to scheduling the first session.

We are here to help you take that first step any time that  you are ready.
